Frankie Dettori has become the first star to be voted out of the I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle. On Sunday, Italian jockey Frankie said goodbye after 12 days in camp.
The 52 year old sportsman is regarded by many as the greatest jockey of all-time, racking up an enormous net worth over the years.
According to most reports, Frankie is worth between £15million and £18million.
The star had made an estimated £153million in career earnings back in 2022. Online Betting Guide (OLBG) have Frankie in 37th for the top 50 highest-earning jockeys in the world.
The jockey's best year came in 2019 when he won a colossal £7,365,868. During his stint on I'm A Celeb, Frankie opened up to his campmates about the wealth he's amassed from his iconic horse racing career.
He also spoke about the nerves he faces in races admitting that he's now got a hold on it. "I can control it now, I love it. It’s horrible, but it’s great," he said before TV presenter Josie Gibson asked him: "So you get off on the nerves really?" to which Frankie answered: "I do now." He faced questions on his earnings from the This Morning presenter who asked: "Who pays you then Franks to ride the horses?" as Frankie revealed that the first four jockeys get paid.
He added: "We get £160 to ride the horse. But if we have a million pound race, I get £100,000 - I get 10%, around there. "You’ve got to win the big races to make a good living.
To get the big races you need a good horse.
