Emmerdale's Tom King could be in hot water in the coming days, as Cain Dingle starts to suspect his evil ways, following the latest episode of the popular soap.
Tom's web of lies might soon unravel as his plans to tighten his grip on wife Belle Dingle, Cain's sister, seem likely to backfire. As regular viewers may recall, after losing his cool over Belle's recent lie about her location, he wrecked their home and then pretended it had been burgled.
However, his deceit about the burglary and the police's conclusion might come back to haunt him, with Tom becoming increasingly worried about Cain's role in apprehending the burglars in the most recent episode. On Thursday, viewers saw Tom catch Belle out after she claimed to be working late, when in reality she was enjoying drinks at The Hide.
As Tom's control and manipulation of Belle intensified, she remained unaware that he'd installed a tracking app on her phone and has been monitoring her every move. So when Tom caught her lying to him about why she would be home late, he set a trap by going to the place he knew she was, before pretending he was picking up a takeaway.
Belle was left embarrassed and Tom made her feel guilty, while pretending to be okay with her staying out in front of her friends. However, when he got home, he completely trashed the house and removed her rings from the counter, reports the Mirror.
In the aftermath, he insisted they were burgled and downplayed the theft by acting as if Belle's rings being stolen was insignificant.
