Coronation Street will air heartbreaking scenes with Faye Windass after fans had concerns over her health. The 20-year-old character recently thought she was expecting boyfriend Craig Tinker's baby and after a miscarriage scare she was devastated to find out she had never been pregnant.
Corrie fans saw a pale Faye emerge from the bathroom and tell her friend Emma Brooker she ws bleeding and feared she was losing her baby. At the hospital Faye and her partner waited for the scan results but were shocked by what they were told.
"I did a pregnancy test it was positive," she said. But the sonographer told her it was a 'false postive' and explained: "Modern tests are very reliable but they can show a false positive."

Faye explained she hadn't had regular periods for a while and had put it down to stress and the sonographer told her to get checked out by her doctor. The scenes led Coronation Street fans to worry about Faye's health. @TheRadioFanatic remarked on Twitter: "So she ain’t pregnant. But something is clearly wrong."
Next week at the medical centre Dr Susan Gaddas breaks the news to Faye, played by Ellie Leach, 21, that she’s suffering from an early menopause and will never be able to have any more children. Faye tells her dad Tim Metcalfe then returns home and breaks the news to Craig.
Craig, played by Colson Smith, later reveals to Faye that his mum Beth Sutherland reckons he should dump her because she can’t have children. Faye had previously worried that the timing of being pregnant was awful as she and policeman Craig had been at loggerheads.
At the time Faye had been covering up the death of a pensioner
