Coronation Street fans haven't been left impressed over the latest twist in Summer Spellman's exam storyline. The character, played by Harriet Bibby in the ITV soap, hasn't had the easiest of time since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The teen has struggled to adjust to life with the condition and, until recently, suffered in silence with an eating disorder as a result.
Meanwhile, Summer has been incredibly stressed about her A-Level exams as her results will determine her whether she gets her dream place at Oxford University. After becoming ill during her previous exam after not taking her insulin properly, Summer felt the pressure of getting her final exam right.
Ever the good friend, Aadi Alahan gave Summer some of his colour-coded revision cards to try and help his former love interest before the exam. However, during Wednesday's trip to the cobbles, viewers saw she had panicked and decided to smuggle in the homemade revision cards Aadi had given to her.

An invigilator ended up spotting Summer was reaching into her case, but when confronted, she lied and claimed she needed to test her blood sugar levels. But on her way to do so, she ended up dropping the revision cards onto the floor in the exam hall. And in a further twist, when the invigilator found the cards, she accused Aadi of cheating as she spots his handwriting on the cards.
