ITV announces Love Island and Strictly stars have bagged new morning shows

ITV bosses have announced two new weekend breakfast shows that will launch later this month, fronted by two famous faces. Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse and former Love Island host turned West End star Laura Whitmore will be joining the ITV breakfast family with their own self-titled shows.
Oti Mabuse's Breakfast Show will be kicking off at 8:30am on Saturday 15 April, with Laura Whitmore taking the same time slot on Sunday mornings and will launch on Sunday 16 April. Both shows will will cover lifestyle and entertainment, and feature a compelling combination of celebrity guests and topical chats.
The newly announced weekend breakfast line-up is also set to include the second series of Katie Piper's Breakfast Show, which will begin on the same weekend. Speaking about the new shows, Head of Entertainment Commissioning for ITV1 and ITVX, Katie Rawcliffe said: "In Katie, Oti and Laura we have three dynamic, engaging broadcasters who bring energy and flair to our weekend schedules.
Each of their shows will give viewers that perfect weekend wake up call." This is the second new show that Laura has bagged since stepping down as Love Island host last year. Returning to her journalistic roots, she will front a new three-part docu-series, titled Laura Whitmore Investigates, for ITV, which will see her explore "the worlds where sex and power collide." Sharing the news of the investigative series, Laura told her Instagram followers: "It’s a dream come true to have this platform and work with a brilliant team at ITV through this series of investigative films."
