This doorbell footage captured the moment a huge bang was heard on a street in Bury before a fire broke out in a house.
The blaze broke out on the top floor of a home on Whitehead Crescent, which backs onto Lepp Crescent, at around 8.30pm on Sunday evening (May 13). Three fire engines raced to the scene, as well as police officers.
The fire broke out as heavy downpours, thunder and lightning hit our region. Residents said they believed the blaze was 'caused by a lightning strike', though this has not yet been confirmed by the fire service or police.

The doorbell footage captured a huge bang on the street at the same time as a flash of light was also caught on the camera. This was captured just moments before the flames started to engulf the home, residents said.
Neighbours said it 'sounded like a bomb went off' as 'the top windows of the home melted'. It has not yet been confirmed whether anyone was seriously injured in the incident.
In a statement issued last night, a spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Just before 8.30pm this evening (Sunday 12th May), three fire engine from Bury Central, Whitefield and Ramsbottom attended an incident on Lepp Crescent, Bury.
"Firefighters have been in attendance for around two and a half hour and are still at the scene."
In an updated statement, the fire service said this morning: "Just before 8.30pm last night (Sunday 12 May), three fire engine from Bury Central, Whitefield and Ramsbottom attended an incident on Lepp Crescent, Bury. Firefighters were in attendance for around six hours."
Greater Manchester Police have also been contacted for a statement.
