Halsey teases new era with mysterious website

Halsey is teasing a new era with a mysterious website.Eagle-eyed fans have found a website connected to the singer called ForMyLastTrick.com, which contains various details and possible Easter eggs connected to the singer’s forthcoming fifth album. After the user is invited to pull open a seal to access the website, they are greeted with numerous stickers featuring symbols and images, as well as slogans which may well be the titles of some of Halsey’s new songs. One of the stickers features a cartoon ghost holding a sign that reads ‘You won’t find me here’ in reference to Halsey’s hit ‘Ghost’, which was released exactly ten years ago on January 27, 2014. Some of the others include a 1971 car number plate, an old Kmart logo, a rabbit in the woods, a woman’s earlobe and a plain ticket. The slogans, which could potentially give clues as to some of the album’s song titles, include ‘Master Mystifier’, ‘Candy’, ‘Peril Is My Pay’, ‘Pour Nous’ and ‘Southern Belle’.Halsey teases next era with link to new website, https://t.co/YdDxv1UMqn.

China’s Lin Jianjie Debuts Genre-Fluid ‘Brief History of a Family’ at Sundance: ‘Chinese Middle Classes Are Still New to This Identity’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief First-time mainland Chinese director Lin Jianjie (aka JJ Lin) makes a splash this weekend with the premiere of his “Brief History of a Family.” Asking questions about family in the era since the end of China’s ‘One Child Policy,’ while also borrowing genre tropes such as the idea of the intruder and blood, it is a polished and ultra-modern fable that sees a teenage schoolboy ingratiate himself into another boy’s family.Variety spoke to biologist-turned-filmmaker Lin on the eve of his Sundance debut. How did you get from zero to making your first feature?[After graduating in biology] I did two short films at film school. I went to Tisch Asia, which had a campus in Singapore. We also had an exchange program with Tisch in New York.

The Zellner Brothers Talk ‘Sasquatch Sunset’: “Growing Up, There Was A Lot Of Ape Cinema That We Were Exposed To” – Sundance Film Festival

EXCLUSIVE. When the alternative book of film trivia is written, a page will be dedicated to the influence of Leonard Nimoy’s paranormal-themed late-’70s TV show In Search of… on director siblings. It was here that Albert and Allen Hughes first heard about Britain’s most notorious serial killer, Jack the Ripper, beginning an obsession with Victorian London that resulted in their 2001 horror-drama From Hell. And for David and Nathan Zellner, the cultural impact was very similar. “We loved that show,” recalls David. “As kids, there wasn’t much out there, that we were exposed to, that covered those sorts of things. They got really obscure with some of the subjects, but we loved that show. We loved the vibe of it. And that’s where we first learned about Bigfoot…”
