New ITV drama Passenger starts tonight, with mysterious happenings in the northern town of Chadder Vale. Viewers will see the small town nestled in a spectacular valley as detectives try to piece together the disappearances of youngsters in the seemingly tight-knit community.
Chadder Vale is the fictional town at the heart of the drama. But the setting was the real life village of Cornholme on the Lancashire and West Yorkshire border.
The village community welcomed cast and crew with "open arms" for the filming of the new six part drama across the early part of 2023.

Pat Saperstein Deputy Editor Kevin Smith could have bought the Quick Stop market he made famous in his first film, “Clerks.” But when the opportunity arose, the indie director instead put his hard-earned cash into his childhood movie theater in Atlantic Highlands, N.J., reopening it in 2022 as SModcastle Cinemas. Now he’s fighting to keep the 103-year-old theater going, even if “exhibition is in the toilet,” as he likes to say.
