Having spent nearly two months on our screens, this year’s series of Love Island has finally come to an end. After a summer of romantic dates and dramatic recouplings, Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu were crowned winners of Love Island 2022 in a final that saw them compete against runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish.
And while the contestants may be bidding farewell to their Mallorca villa, a whole new chapter is about to begin as they kick start their lives post Love Island. One person who knows one or two things about this transition is Demi Jones, who appeared on the winter series of the show back in 2020.
Here she talks to OK! about what the Islanders can expect following their stint on the show… Contestants are given a “Love Island bible” With seven seasons under its belt, plenty of contestants have entered Love Island and left to find success. According to Demi, finalists receive a handbook to help them cope with the newfound fame.
“ITV gives you a handbook that tells you all the tips and tricks and has different emails and contact details for agents and management companies that they recommend,” she says. “It’s essentially a list of 20-30 names as well as information on how to handle yourself in the public eye, how to protect yourself on social media from trolling and things like that.” Demi adds: “You also get the phone numbers of the producers and the counselling team, so you can contact them at any time.
