Sophie Rundle has made a return to our screens thanks to the release of the sixth, and final, season of the BBC hit show Peaky Blinders. Reprising her role of Ada Shelby - gang boss Tommy’s sister - the 33 year old has been a staple on our TV sets since the show’s debut back in 2013. But before graduating she appeared in the horror comedy Small Town Folk in 2007 alongside Warwick Davis. Elsewhere Sophie has appeared in shows including Episodes, Merlin, Happy Valley and Bodyguard.
More recently, in 2020 she starred opposite Martin Compston in the hit psychological drama The Nest. Famous fiancé Given her history working on the set of period dramas, it’s no surprise that Sophie ended up meeting her partner while at work. In fact, it was in her role as Alice Sharrow in Jamestown that she locked eyes with co-star Matt Stokoe.
Like Sophie, Matt has found success on the screen thanks to his roles in shows including Black Mirror, Misfits and Bodyguard. He’s also appeared in several films such as Hollow and Outlaw King and has given his voice to various Final Fantasy video games. Blossoming family life Sophie and Matt welcomed a baby boy in April 2021, with the actress announcing the news on Instagram.
