One Day has launched on Netflix leaving fans overcome with emotion as Leo Woodall stars as heartthrob Dexter Mayhew in the leading role.
The heartbreaking series, which is the adaptation of David Nicholls' 2009 novel, follows the love story between Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew as they go their separate ways in life but remain intertwined with a budding romance teased with a will they, won't they scenario. Leo has melted the hearts of the nation with his portrayal of Dexter, but acting wasn't always on the cards for the 27 year old who almost became a PE teacher or stuntman.
Luckily for us, it was thanks to British dramas Skins and Peaky Blinders which inspired Leo to pursue a career in acting, here's everything we know about the star... Shooting to fame Leo attended Arts Educational School (ArtsEd) in London and graduated in 2019 - in the same year he secured his first acting stint in a short film called Man Down.
He went on to appear on TV for roles in Holby City and Vampire Academy. Shooting to further fame, Leo made his feature film debut in Cherry and bagged a role in the fiction film Nomad, having been chosen for the role from 28,000 submissions - where filming took place in 20 countries.
He also joined the cast of The White Lotus for series two as an Essex lad called Jack and was named a 2023 Screen International Star of Tomorrow. In his already impressive career, Leo also starred in the Amazon Prime series Citadel in 2023 before landing the role of Dexter Mayhew opposite Ambika Mod who plays Emma Morley in One Day.
