Grantchester star Robson Green lives a quiet life in an idyllic market town, a place which has an average house price of £297,643.
The new series of Grantchester returns tonight (Thursday, 11 January) as we welcome back the Cambridgeshire village and its crimes taking place during the 1950s. Actor Robson, 59, is best known for his role as Detective Inspector Geordie Keating on the ITV detective drama, which he has held since 2014.
Robson is also known for his roles in Casualty, Soldier Solider, Wire in the Blood, Being Human and Waterloo Road. He's also a successful presenter having fronted the likes of Robson Green's Weekend Escapes, Extreme Fishing, Extreme Fishing Challenge, and Tales from Northumberland.
But away from detecting crimes or exploring the country, Robson resides in a 350 year old cottage in the idyllic market town of Hexham in Northumberland.
The TV presenter and actor was born in the town but grew up in Dudley near Cramlington. Having returned to his roots, his home is located on the banks of the River Tyne which he said he "loves" because of the stunning surroundings.
Previously speaking to the Radio Times Robson said: "I've got Hadrian's Wall to the north and there are pheasants and deer in the garden every morning." Tragically, his home was ruined by a flood in 2015 and as a result, many of his personal belongings were washed away as his property was submerged under seven feet of water. Sharing the impact he said: "Everything precious and personal in my life, just washed away.
