, the iconic fashion designer and activist, has died at 81 years old. passed away peacefully on December 29, 2022, surrounded by her family in Clapham, London. “Vivienne continued to do the things she loved up until her last moment, designing, working on her art, writing her book, and changing the world for the better,” a representative for Westwood wrote in a statement.
“She led an amazing life. Her innovation and impact over the last 60 years has been immense and will continue into the future.”Westwood's husband, Australian designer Andreas Kronthaler, shared a statement as well. “I will continue with Vivian and my heart,” he said.
