I popped into New Look to find summer dresses but ended up falling for a dreamy linen co-ord. Recently, New Look has been turning heads with its 'flawless' summer dresses, ranging from silky maxi numbers to crochet minis and leopard print ruffle dresses.
I've had several items on my shopping wishlist for a while, but a trip to my local store finally persuaded me to jump on the linen co-ord bandwagon. While online models make crochet split hem dresses, leopard print ruffle, and glittery midi dresses look fabulous, they didn't quite work for me. However, this linen-blend waistcoat and trouser set caught my attention.
Linen has always been a summer staple in the fashion world as it not only looks stylish but also provides a comfortable, airy feel on hot humid days, reports the Mirror. As soon as I stepped into my local New Look store, it was evident that tailored pieces were the trend of the season.

The set can be purchased separately, at £32.99 for the waistcoat and £34.99 for the linen trousers - if you're like me and a petite 5ft 3, this means you can opt for the petite pair instead. Just under £70 for the co-ord might seem steep for two high street items but its quality made me content to pay the price.
A major concern for me when trying on linen is 'can you see my bum' as there's nothing worse than having a transparent pair of trousers (well for me anyway). The fabric of the trousers was the perfect thickness, still light enough for a floaty feel but not sheer - and the back
