The new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has kicked off on Sunday night, and viewers have noticed contestants making "big mistakes" moments into the show.
As the show kicked off, the first contestants arrived at a luxury villa and exchanged pleasantries with one another before hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly made their presence known. Charlene White, Chris Moyles, Jill Scott MBE, Babatúndé Aléshé and Olivia Attwood were the first celebrities on the ITV reality show.
As each celebrity was introduced, the contestants explained their reasons for doing the show and viewers were left shaking their head within minutes. Babatúndé confessed he was scared of "everything" including rats, spiders, snakes and frogs, and Charlene shared her fear of spiders, reports the Mirror.
Fans couldn't believe the stars were revealing their phobias on camera, knowing it means they will likely be voted by the public for the Bushtucker trials. Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "People still telling everyone what they’re scared of, never learn." Another said: "Do the celebs never learn, don’t tell us what ur afraid of !!!!"
A third viewer tweeted: "The public making a note of everything the celebs are scared of," as a fourth said: "Why do the contestants list everything they’re scared of and make it easier to freak them out??"
It comes amid backlash over the signing of Matt Hancock, who will join the series later on. The former Health Secretary will earn £400,000 for his stint on the show, but will donate chunks of money to his charity.
