JLS singer and TV presenter Marvin Humes, 38, says he’s going to find it tough being apart from wife Rochelle and their three children. He explains, “This is definitely the longest I have been away from them. Before children, the longest Rochelle and I spent apart was six weeks.
Since we had kids, the longest I have been apart from them is five days.
That will be the hardest thing for me. I can’t go a day without seeing or speaking to them, and I know it is going to be tough. “I do bedtime stories, homework, the school run – silly things like that I love every moment of.
But I know they are going to be watching me, so I hope I will do them proud.” As a member of JLS, Marvin has performed hundreds of gigs, but he predicts taking part in I'm a Celebrity will be much scarier. He says, “There is nothing as scary that I have ever done. It’s another reason why I wanted to do the programme.
“I have been very lucky in my career and I have done a lot of things. But this is the first thing that will one million per cent take me out of my comfort zone and push me. “I am interested to see how I’m going to react to the trials and how I will face the hunger and boredom in camp.
It’s going to be a great test." Marvin is tackling the ITV show alongside the likes of This Morning's Josie Gibson, former UKIP politician Nigel Farage, Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn Spears and First Dates star Fred Sirieix. They'll be joined by EastEnders star Danielle Harold, columnist Grace Dent, ex Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, Hollyoaks' Nick Pickard and influencer Nella Rose. We've already been given a sneak peek at I'm A Celeb's very first challenge of 2023 - in which Sam and Danielle walk a plank, 100 metres up in the air.
