The Quad alongside Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor and his production shingle Bach Enterprises has set July 10 as their official start date for their next project “Miles Ryder Part One,” the companies announced on Thursday.The feature film “Miles Ryder Part One” is described as a “John Wick” meets “Nobody”-style action thriller and centers on Miles Ryder, an everyday man who is forced to confront his mysterious and violent past, which he has long kept secret. After a brutal attack threatens to expose him and his hidden past, Ryder’s hidden combat talent and almost supernatural fighting abilities are put to the test as he attempts to save his family and potentially the world from a dark force with a nefarious motive.“Mortal Kombat’s” Greg Russo wrote the screenplay and is continuing to work on the project with the team.The character is based on a short that Bachelor wrote, directed, and starred in, off of which he and his team worked closely with the Quad and its team to develop the action film, which is being eyed as the first in a franchise.Ryan Kavanaugh, Amy Kim and Jaime Burke will be producing from the Quad alongside Andrew Bachelor, Christina Bachelor, and Gary Glushon will produce via Bach Enterprises.

Julie Powell, a chef and blogger whose year-long project to cook each recipe of Julia Child’s groundbreaking cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking became a best-selling memoir that was adapted by Nora Ephron into the hit 2009 film Julie & Julia, died of cardiac arrest Oct. 26 at her home in Upstate New York. She was 49.

Brent Lang Executive Editor Cody Ryder has joined Park Pictures as senior executive producer for commercials and co-head of film and television. Ryder is the first executive producer at the company to serve in a dual capacity across its commercial and feature film divisions. Ryder previously served in the TV and branded content department at Plum Productions. There, she developed pitches and produced branded content until becoming a freelance line producer based out of New York. Ryder has been freelance ever since until she decided to join the ranks at Park in its Los Angeles office.   Ryder’s projects include the recently released Kendrick Lamar short film “We Cry Together”and the “We Matter Too” PSA produced with Common’s Imagine Justice organization. She has worked with brand clients including Coca-Cola, Old Navy, Verizon, McDonald’s, Chevy, Reebok, Instagram,and Kia, to name a few; and artists like LCD Soundsystem, Kanye West, Haim, Brandi Carlile and Questlove. Her feature film work includes “The Art of Self Defense,” “The Clovehitch Killer,” “Other People,” “Cop Car” and “Robot and Frank.”

The Justice Department is recommending a six-month prison sentence and a $200,000 fine for former Trump aide Steve Bannon due to his failure to comply with a subpoena to appear before the House Select Committee investigating January 6. In a filing Monday, the Justice Department said "the rioters that overran the Capitol on January 6 did not just attack a building—they assaulted the rule of law upon which this country was built and through which it endures." "By floating the Select Committee’s subpoena and its authority, the Defendant exacerbated that assault," the Justice Department wrote.

After a tumultuous first few days on the beach, Jill Chin is back on the market heading into Week 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” Speaking with TheWrap ahead of Monday night’s episode, Chin said she felt “super hopeful” entering the new week with the women giving out the roses. A public inquiry into a vast development scheme which includes building a Ryder Cup golf course and more than 1,000 homes on a green belt park has begun. Previous proposals for Hulton Park, close to Westhoughton, were approved by Bolton Council in 2018 and the UK Secretary of State in 2020 and remain in place.

A Wigan Athletic supporter has been slapped with a large fine and a ban following disorder at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park in November last year. The trouble mainly took place in the Barn Park Stand after Wigan scored a 90th minute winning goal.
