Humza Yousaf will today announce a crackdown on single use vapes which could lead to a ban on their sale.
The First Minister will reveal a new consultation on disposable e-cigs to protect the environment and young people.

An official report estimated that around two thirds of users are under twenty five and they also pose a fire risk, particularly in landfill sites.
Yousaf is tipped to announce a consultation during his PfG address, effectively the Holyrood version of a King’s Speech.
A ban on their sale will be one of the options.
An environmental campaigner told the Record: "We are hoping for good news from the Scottish Government. We feel we have had a good hearing from ministers and officials, and are optimistic about what the day will bring."
Another campaigner said Yousaf has no choice but to address the huge problem in his speech.
One said: “I think it is absolutely certain he will act. Everyone knows single use vapes are a scourge and have to be dealt with.”
In an interview with the Record last week, Yousaf declined to make any comment on his legislative statement.
But he said: “I absolutely believe that we have to take action on single use disposable vapes. I have a teenage daughter. I hear from her regularly. Her comment is that young people are using these single use disposable vapes.”
Yousaf paid tribute to the Record’s “excellent” campaign and said a ban would “probably” require legislation.
He said: “Legislative options can take quite some time to pass through, particularly in quite a crowded legislative landscape.
