It's the greatest comeback of the year as we settle in to watch the return of the "sexiest" show on ITV2, Love Island. Oh yes, that's right. And while 'the greatest comeback of the year' might be a bit of an exaggeration, it's certainly been highly-anticipated after the winter spin-off was cancelled for the second year running.
The reality series will kick off tonight as 11 singletons step foot inside the brand new Majorcan villa for the very first time, hosted by TV presenter Laura Whitmore. Comedian hubby Iain Stirling is also returning as the witty narrator for this year's series. The pair were recently seen landing in Mallorca after Iain promised this season is set to be the "sexiest yet".
Meanwhile, all Laura is hoping for is that the villa "smells better" than last year; well, Laura, a girl can certainly dream. So perhaps the married duo have differing expectations for Season 8, but with seven winners already under its belt, Love Island is anything but unsuccessful. The same can't always be said for the couples it churns out in the name of love (and £50k), but you can't fault it for trying.
At the very least, the bubble of love tends to last all the way to the final as, despite always being offered the chance to steal the pot of gold for themselves, no one has - yet.
