As Michael Hillier and Rachel Fulstow enjoyed the Jamaican sun - posing for pictures astride horses in the crystal clear Caribbean Sea - they had no idea the net was closing in. They thought they'd got away with murder.
Detectives, little did they know, were finally onto them following an intensive investigation. In the wake of Liam Smith's death, cops were clutching at straws.
They had limited evidence. There were no witnesses, no weapon and no suspects. Mr Smith's body was found in the street by a passer-by, but nobody knew what had happened.

The horrors of his final minutes would later become horrifically clear. The father, 38, had been shot in the face before acid was poured over his body outside his Wigan home.
Police were meticulous, but the investigation was proving tough. Their perseverance and determination for justice paid off when a breakthrough eventually came.
A stop and search in Sheffield led police to Hillier. He remained tight-lipped, but his insurance and phone logs then pointed them to his then girlfriend, Fulstow.
