The family of a young man who tragically died after falling from a window while on holiday in Brussels have paid heartfelt tribute to their 'kind hearted' and 'well-loved' son.
Roudhan Beckwith, 20, was enjoying a holiday with friends in Brussels when he sadly fell from an apartment window in the early hours of June 16, 2023. Roudhan had been pursuing his studies in biology at York University at the time of his death.
In a moving tribute provided at Bradford Coroners' Court, his parents, Steven and Josephine Beckwith, remembered him for his love for cricket and football, and his influence as a role model and an endearing older brother. His parents said Roudhan had "always strived to live his best life" developing a passion for travel and gastronomy along the way. Known to be relaxed yet meticulous, Roudhan, they said, was a "perfectionist with a big heart", reports Yorkshire Live.

They said Roudhan, originally from Holmfirth, had been a keen cricketer and footballer and a role model and best friend to his younger brother. He had got his first job, aged 14, as a football referee and later went on to work at Holmfirth Vineyard where he impressed colleagues with his work ethic. He had played for many years for Hepworth Juniors and had lifelong friends from his playing days.
Steven and Josephine said they had been amazed by how many lives Roudhan had touched with his "kindness and work ethic". They said Roudhan had been a big fan of Liverpool FC and would be "forever loved and missed".
