BBC presenter Michaela Strachan appeared to make a jibe at Holly Willoughby 's This Morning statement while presenting Springwatch. Holly, 42, returned to the screen on the daytime show after a half-term break on Monday, 5 June, acknowledging the recent scandal surrounding former co-host and best friend Phillip Schofield with a pre-prepared statement.The following day, Michaela had fans convinced that she was mocking the statement while presenting the wildlife show alongside co-host Chris Packham, 62.
After watching a clip of a fox stealing a blackbird chick from a nest, she said, "Everyone was on the edge of their seats watching that, how is everyone feeling? There is a lot to process isn't there? Emotions are all over the place." The phrase appeared strikingly similar to the way that Holly began her statement, where she said: "Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you OK? I hope so".
Michaela isn't the only one to have acknowledged the statement either, as MP John Nicholson appeared to imitate the presenter during a Culture, Media and Sport Committee which took place in Parliament on June 6. Addressing the representatives from ITV, John said: “First of all, are you OK?”, mimicking the phrase.TV star Holly presented the show alongside Josie Gibson on Monday as she spoke for the first time since the controversy surrounding Phillip Schofield's exit from the broadcaster - which prefaced his revelation that he had an affair with a younger male colleague while on the show.
