Holly and Dermot cringe at Gino D’Acampo's This Morning comment after Phillip scandal

This Morning returnee Gino D'Acampo made a subtle hint at the Phillip Schofield saga on This Morning today, much to the discomfort of presenters Dermot O'Leary and Holly Willoughby. After 21 years as a face of the ITV show, 61 year old Phillip resigned with immediate effect from his post before revealing to the world that she'd partaken in an affair with a much younger colleague in secret.
He's since been interviewed by the BBC where themes such as suicide were even hinted at, given the torment he's been put through by various trolls. And stepping back into the studio for the first time in ages, 46 year old Italian chef Gino said: "Everything is under control.
I'm back!" before asking if there's "any news from the last month" that he should be privy to. "No.
No news," smiled Holly, 42, as she and Dermot, 50, both stifled laughs. A pin-drop could've been heard in the ITV studio as Gino then asked: "Why is nobody talking anymore, what's happened?" Looking down the camera, Dermot joked: "We need to rephrase, Gino is back for a one-time only..." Over on Twitter, This Morning viewers quickly jumped on this awkward interaction, as three tweeted: "Gino never disappoints, causing Dermot and Holly to squirm a bit making light of the Phil saga", "Studio fell silent when Gino said 'any news while i've been gone' #itvthismorning" and "Absolutely pmsl at @Ginofantastico on #Thismorning any news???? #Gino." For her first This Morning show since the Phillip story, Holly had prepared an opening statement to put fans at ease over the future of their favourite show.
