Helen Mirren, Zachary Levi Will Appear as Surprise Guest Stars on Tonight’s ‘The Masked Singer’ (EXCLUSIVE)

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” hit theatres on March 17, resulting in a disappointing opening weekend with just $65 million at the worldwide box office — a 43 per cent drop from the first “Shazam” movie.

Well, sort of: These aren’t the actual contestants under masks, but they are they stars who will appear to hand out special clues that provide hints to the identities of each player. Among the guest stars on Wednesday night’s episode: Country music star Deana Carter, comedian Bill Engvall and NFL star Robert Woods each deliver a special clue for Macaw, Fairy, and Axolotl (respectively). Next week, when “The Masked Singer” dives into its “80’s Night,”  Young MC busts a move with his hit “Bust a Move,” kicking off the show with a performance. Also seen on the episode are “CHiPs” actor Erik Estrada and “Dallas” star Charlene Tilton; all three guests deliver clues that evening.

The series, which consists of five one-hour episodes, premieres May 1 on Freevee. Lauren Swickard (“A California Christmas”) and Ali Afshar created “Casa Grande,” which comes from Afshar’s ESX Entertainment shingle. Helen Mirren turned her latest premiere into a family affair. At Tuesday night's premiere of her upcoming film, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," Mirren walked the red carpet alongside her young grandson Basil.The two made their way down the red carpet hand in hand and posed for pictures.  Mirren wore a floor length black gown with lace over the front and on the arms, and Basil wore a blue button down shirt with black jeans.  While the "1923" star doesn't have any children of her own, she is very close with her husband Taylor Hackford's two children, her stepsons Rio and Alexander Hackford.

The movie was helmed by Evan Miller, who directed, produced and co-wrote the script with Hardy Janson. Zachary Levi and Adrianne Palicki star in the film and also serve as producers alongside John Trefry and the co-founders of the ATX Television Festival, Caitlin McFarland and Emily Gipson. Per the official logline, “A powerful United States Senator lives out every American parent’s worst nightmare when she receives a call from her teenage son and talks him through the horror of an active school shooting as she desperately makes her way to him, unsure of what she’ll find once she arrives.”

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods.”“Don’t ask me about the plot, it’s too complicated,” the 77-year-old actress said on Friday’s episode of “The Graham Norton Show.”The Oscar winner is playing the villain, Hespera, in the “Shazam” sequel, alongside Lucy Liu, 54, as Kalypso, both daughters of Atlas and foil to the story’s hero, Shazam. “[Lucy Liu and I] are angry goddesses wearing unbelievably heavy costumes,” Mirren explained about filming.
