Helen, 76, first came on the acting scene at the age of 18, and has since gone on to star in at least 80 movies over the course of her career.The Collateral Beauty actress wowed in a pink gown with floral detailing for the awards, which she paired with a matching pink headband. Helen was introduced at last night by fellow British actress Kate Winslet, 46, who, for an unknown reason, couldn’t physically attend the event so gushed about Helen from a remote location via video link.
The Mare of Easttown actress praised Helen for pushing boundaries for actresses as they get older, before proceeding to invite Cate Blanchett, 52, to finish off the tribute and give Helen her award. Upon receiving her award, Helen made a cheeky joke about using the word ‘sag’ at her age. She said: “Well, lifetime achievement, Sounds so grand.
I suppose I'm still alive, so by that measure, I'm eligible.
