While chatting with TV Fanatic, Heather shared that she tried to pull in as many of her own experiences into the film as possible.
“I was able to sneak my own curiosity in as Anna, but just for some more ad-lib moments. And then, of course, in between takes and setups, I was just having a great time talking to local people and the vendors and was able to get some more information that helped me when the cameras were rolling,” she shared.
As Heather was in Portugal a month ahead of production, she got the chance to seek out the best of the best of Lisbon and the country, especially when it came to the food.
“There are so many variations on their popular dishes, like pastel de nata. Everyone, every quarter that you go to, has an amazing bakery that serves pastel de nata. However, there are apparently only three recipes in Portugal that they all work from, and they’re secret.”
In another interview, Heather revealed that she’s already looking to working with Luke again.
“Working with Luke Mitchell was a dream,” she gushed. “It was my first time working with him and I hope it won’t be my last. Luke was such a fun partner, and he was playful and supportive both on and off set. He was a great scene partner for me.”
Here’s a quick summary of the movie: Anna (Hemmens) is perfectly content being the on-camera prep cook for Dean, an international celebrity chef. However, one day Dean unexpectedly walks away from his popular food show, leaving
