Slipknot have announced their ‘Here Comes The Pain’ 25th anniversary US tour with Knocked Loose and more.The legendary heavy metal band are set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1999 self-titled debut album. The North American leg of their ‘Here Comes The Pain’ tour will see the masked members make stops in major cities such as Baltimore, New York City, Toronto, Ridgefield, Inglewood, Austin, Dallas and more before wrapping up in their hometown of Des Moines, Iowa for Knotfest.Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture and Vended will all serve as opening support on select dates.

Oasis have released an early live recording of ‘Supersonic’ to mark the 30th anniversary of the release of the band’s iconic debut single.The newly unearthed performance took place at the Limelight in Belfast on 4 September 1994, and the band had discovered shortly before taking to the stage that night that their debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ had reached Number One on the UK Albums Chart.Now, that version of ‘Supersonic’ can be heard on limited edition physical single formats, including a replica of the original 1994 CD single, which also includes the white label demo of ‘Columbia’, and an individually numbered pearl coloured 7” vinyl. Krist Novoselic has paid tribute to Kurt Cobain on the 30th anniversary of his death this week (April 5).Cobain rose to prominence at the end of the ‘80s as the frontman and guitarist of Nirvana – alongside Dave Grohl and Novoselic – and went on to become one of the most iconic figures in rock, particularly the ‘90s grunge scene. He died by suicide on April 5, 1994.Novoselic has paid tribute to his former bandmate in Mojo, where he recalled the opening to their ‘In Utero’ North American tour, which began at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix. He remembered Cobain as the one “carrying the show”.“We were trying to be professional,” Novoselic recalls of the tour.
