A group of men reportedly 'hurled abuse' at passengers on board a train, including a person in a wheelchair. The incident, on a service from Manchester Airport, is being treated by police as a hate crime.
Images of two men have been released by British Transport Police after the incident between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on November 11 last year.
The two victims involved were sat on the train when a group of men boarded at Horwich Parkway station. One of the men sat next to one of the victims and started using 'sexually threatening language', while another started to 'become aggressive' toward one of the victims who uses a wheelchair, police said.

The victims moved away from the men who continued to 'verbally assault' the pair with a 'barrage of hateful comments and insults.' The victims then got off the train, with the group of men doing so later at Blackpool North.
Officers believe the men in the images may have information which could help their investigation, and are urging anyone with any information to contact British Transport Police.

Peter Debruge Chief Film Critic Here we are, three weeks into January, and the Sundance Film Festival has delivered what promises to be the year’s most uncomfortable date movie: a grubby New York-set fable about a facially distinctive actor (modeled on Adam Pearson) who undergoes an experimental procedure that leaves him looking like Sebastian Stan — presumably an improvement, until he realizes that under the skin, he’s still the same miserable loser. The kind of oddball satire only indie studio A24 would dare to produce, Aaron Schimberg’s “A Different Man” asks what it means to be “normal,” and whether, if we could wave a magic wand and “correct” those qualities that set us apart, that’s really something we’d want.
There’s been an awful lot of family drama for Coleen Nolan to contend with lately, so it’s hardly surprising the Loose Women star, 58, has been feeling under a lot of pressure. Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Robert Downey Jr. trekked to Sundance Film Festival‘s opening night gala to reveal that a “terrible tragedy” has befallen Christopher Nolan. But don’t worry about the filmmaker behind “Oppenheimer.” His hardship is really just a bad case of the blues, and it’s because Nolan — as Downey explained on Thursday while bestowing Nolan with the first-ever Trailblazer Award — “has become recognizable on the street.” According to Downey, the critical and commercial success of “Oppenheimer” causes the British director to recoil, “as though from a hot flame, from this new and unwelcome reality.” Well, Nolan may not be retreating from the spotlight anytime soon.

Those are among the notable content trends documented in the 2023 Year-End Film and TV Report released today by Luminate, the entertainment data and insights firm.
