One of Scotland’s most popular music festivals is returning to West Lothian this summer, bringing with it a gold-standard line-up.
Party at the Palace returns to Linlithgow in August and headliners The Happy Mondays, Shed Seven and Scouting for Girls have been announced.
Also taking to the stage will be OMD, Callum Beattie and Sister Sledge, among many others.
The organisers had been teasing fans before announcing headliners Happy Mondays, saying they were “going for gold” in a reference to the band’s hit Fool’s Gold.
They added: “Never has our line been so hotly anticipated as this one.”
Fans flocked to social media to share their delight at the announcement.
Marcia Coutts wrote: “Happy Mondays in Linlithgow!!! Amazing!”
Morag McDiarmid said: “Callum Beattie on a sunny Sunday afternoon - what’s not to like?” and Susan Crayton added: “Went for gold right enough, superb line up for both days.”
