Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about Jeremy Renner‘s snowplow accident.
On Monday (April 24), the 26-year-old actress appeared at CinemaCon 2023 to promote her new movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
During an interview, Hailee was asked about her 52-year-old Hawkeye co-star’s snowplow accident back in January that left him dozens of broken bones and nearly killed him.

“I’m so grateful that he’s okay, and he has made a truly miraculous recovery,” Hailee shared with Entertainment Tonight. “I just couldn’t be more grateful that he’s okay, and he’s more than okay. He’s such a fighter.”
Hailee also said that she has spoken to Jeremy since the accident.
Over the past few months, Jeremy has been working hard on recovering, and Hailee admitted that talking about the accident makes her “emotional.”
Also in her interview, Hailee recalled how she felt when she first met Jeremy.
“I go back to thinking about how excited I was just to meet him and then I realized very quickly — I can’t believe I’m going to admit this, but much like Kate Bishop is to Clint, I am that way with Jeremy,” Hailee shared.
“He is like the most inspiring, and not that I already didn’t feel that way about him — I feel that way times a million,” Hailee added. “He’s amazing.”
