We’ve all had to come to terms with the fact that Dr Alex Karev, who is played by Justin Chambers, is leaving Grey’s Anatomy after what feels like a lifetime on the hit medical drama.
We have also been teased hints as to how the good doctor is due to leave the show but it’s safe to say that no one expected the send off the producers are believed to have lined-up for the character.
On Thursday night episode 13 of the latest series aired, which is called Save The Last Dance.

Ready to say goodbye. Following the Thursday, February 27, episode of Grey’s Anatomy, ABC aired a promo for the official goodbye episode to Justin Chambers‘ Alex Karev.
Justin Chambers will get an actual goodbye on next week's Grey's Anatomy. Since it was announced in January that Chambers, who has been a cast member since the show's pilot, was leaving and his final episode aired in November, all we've known is that his character, Alex Karev, has apparently been in Iowa visiting his mother.
