Hallmark Channel has a new leading man in Rushi Kota!
The 36-year-old actor, who is best known from Never Have I Ever and Grey’s Anatomy, will star opposite Eva Bourne in Make Me A Match.
Just Jared was lucky enough to chat with Rushi about his debut on the network, where he opened up about how nervous he actually was.

“I had an immense amount of anxiety,” Rushi admitted to us about joining the network for his first movie there.
He explained to Just Jared that it was about three weeks before coming to set that he was in “full on panic.”
“I had a lot of personal stuff was going on,” he noted (he actually just welcomed his first baby!), before adding that he “wanted to be as fully memorized and prepared for my character as much as possible. I just remember the week before we got onto set, and I talked to my acting coach, where I told them I had no idea what I’m doing right now. I don’t know who this guy is. I’m full on freaking out.”
Rushi says he was “so stressed out with everything else, and I just couldn’t see it.”
However, as soon as he got to set and met Eva, the panic left him.
“Once I left my life behind for a second and then finally landed in Vancouver, and met with Eva and Heather [our director]…things started gelling and I was like, ‘Woo, okay, we got this now.’ Everything else was just, you know, smooth sailing from here on out.”
Rushi did say that he “really enjoyed this experience, as my first lead in a Hallmark movie, and for Hallmark to be creating this lovely bubble of hardworking, creative, people who come to set every day with a lot with positive attitude.”
