Greater Manchester's four-star hotel owned by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs named one of the world's best

Manchester’s Hotel Football has been recognised with a prestigious award naming it one of the leading venues in the world.
The £24 million hotel, which overlooks Old Trafford football stadium, was named the World’s Leading Themed Hotel at the World Travel Awards 2023, which were held in Dubai this evening (December 1).
Hotel Football beat out rivals including the Hard Rock Hotel in Singapore, Sweden’s ICEHOTEL, and the Panda Hotel in Hong Kong to receive the top honour. The hotel is co-founded by the ‘Class of 92’, which is made up of former Manchester United players Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, and Phil Neville.

First opened in 2015, the Tribute Portfolio hotel has eyed a record year for visitors and is expecting to welcome more than 26,000 guests during the 2023/24 football season. In addition to offering views over Old Trafford, the 133-room hotel boasts the UK's only rooftop 5-a-side football pitch, as well as a Games Zone for children.
