The monsters are coming!
Apple TV+ and Legendary are teaming up on a new live-action show based on both the monsters and the monster-tracking organization seen in the Godzilla movies, the company announced Thursday (January 20).

Here’s the plot summary, via Apple: “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.”
The more recent entries into the Godzilla cinematic universe include Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, generating nearly two billion dollars globally at the box office.
The show will be executive produced by Chris Black, who worked on Star Trek Enterprise and Matt Fraction, known for his comic book work, including Hawkeye. They will be co-creators, and Chris Black is the showrunner.
