Richard Madeley has blasted The Chase’s Anne Hegerty as he says he is unhappy with her.
The Good Morning Britain presenter said the Governess is not his favourite person as he discussed her newfound links to royalty with entertainment reporter Vick Hope.
Despite Anne being a distant relative of Queen Elizabeth II, he said: ‘She’s not my favourite person at the moment."
A stunned Vick replied: "Oh, really?"
And Richard explained: "No, I was on The Chase on Saturday and we nearly got a lot of money for charity and she caught me just in the last two minutes.
"We nearly got it, but she caught me."
Richard joined EastEnders star Perry Fenwick, comedian Jenny Éclair, and presenter Ore Oduba on The Chase on Saturday.
Unfortunately they lost the £90,000 jackpot after they failed to beat Anne with their general knowledge.
Richard, Perry and Ore did however get some cash for their chosen charities.
Anne found out about her royal connections on ITV’s DNA Journey on Tuesday night.
She joined The Chase co-star Shaun Wallace and spoke to a historian in Edinburgh to discover she is the 19th cousin of the monarch, and not only that, but King Robert the Bruce, who was King of Scots from 1306 until his death in 1329, is her 20-times great grandfather.
