Glastonbury 2024 announces ticket re-sale details

JayaHadADream has spoken to NME about how it feels to have won a coveted slot at Glastonbury this summer after winning the festival’s 2024 Emerging Talent Competition.The Cambridge born Jamaican-Irish artist came out on top of the eight acts in a live final at Pilton’s Working Men’s Club this weekend (Saturday April 27) after already beating thousands of online entries. The rapper won over a judging panel – including Glasto boss Emily Eavis, industry professionals and Glastonbury main stage bookers – with her high-energy thought-provoking hip-hop.

Glastonbury 2024 have now all officially sold out following the re-sale, but there are still some ways to get into to this year’s festival.Glastonbury will return to Worthy Farm between June 26 and 30 with headliners Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, while Shania Twain will take on the legends slot at this year’s event (check out the full line-up with stage splits so far here).Understandably, demand for tickets was fierce, with organiser Emily Eavis revealing that the event had its “highest percentage of paid ticket balances ever”. Never fear, though – Glastonbury wouldn’t be what it is without hordes of volunteers and paid staff to keep things ticking over.

Glastonbury Festival has announced the line-up for the electronic, disco and reggae-oriented Glade area, with Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Camelphat, Groove Armada and more all set to play.The area plays host to a huge range of DJs and other electronic-leaning acts. Glastonbury has announced that its first ever dedicated South Asian stage, named Arrivals, will debut at this year’s edition of the festival.Arrivals will be part of the famous late-night Shangri-La area of the festival’s site, and it has been designed by a group of South Asian cultural organisations, including Going South, Dialled In and Daytimers.Artists that will be part of Arrivals’ first ever line-up include Bobby Friction, Anish Kumar, Nabihah Iqbal and Nikki Nair. It will also feature sets from Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ cover band, Red Hot Chilli Pipers.Saturday’s line-up at the Acoustic Stage includes Birmingham rock group Ocean Colour Scene, as well as Ralph McTell, The Manfields (featuring Paul Jones and Mike d’Abo), Albert Lee and more.

Dua Lipa has announced plans to release another new single from her forthcoming album ‘Radical Optimism’.The track ‘Illusion’ is out on April 11 and is the third song to be lifted from the record after ‘Training Season‘ and ‘Houdini’.
