A teenager is still fighting for her life in hospital after taking suspected ecstasy. The 16-year-old girl was found critically ill down an alleyway off Wilbraham Road at around 7.30pm on Tuesday (April 30).
Police were called by paramedics after a report was made concerning the girl's welfare. She was rushed to hospital from the scene, where she remains in a critical condition.
A 21-year-old woman who was initially arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The Manchester Evening News understands the girl is believed to have taken ecstasy. The alleyway was taped off immediately afterwards and a cordon erected along the road, in the centre of Chorlton.
The incident has sparked Greater Manchester Police to pledge their 'commitment' to tackling the supply of drugs across the region. Anyone with information around the distribution of drugs is being urged to contact the force in the wake of the latest incident.
