Gemma Atkinson appeared to leave Gorka Marquez emotional after he was forced to miss out on a family event due to new work commitments. The Strictly Come Dancing star made his judging debut on the Spanish version of the BBC One dance contest over the weekend.
Gorka, 33, anounced on Thursday (January 11) that he'll appear on the new series of Bailando con las Estrell before he made his debut on Saturday (January 14). But his exciting new gig meant that he missed the party his fiancee Gemma had organised with her sister for their mum.
Taking to Instagram, Gemma, 39, declared 'we did it' as she celebrating being able to pull of the bash for her mum, Sandra, after she turned 70 last week. Sharing videos of the moment she was surprised by her family and friends with a bash as well as other clips and photos from the night, the Hits Radio star wrote on Instagram: "Well, we did it!"

She continued: "Mum's party last Sunday was a pretend one as myself and my sister had been planning a surprise one for last night since November! How all the family and our friends managed to keep it quiet for so I’ll never know. It was wonderful!
"There’s only a few videos I can post as it got very messy later on but surprisingly not from us! It was all the parents and older relatives and my mates parents (least I know where me and my mates get it from) Thank you to the @swanandcemetery_ for hosting for us and for the lovely food.
