MC5 have announced their first album in over 50 years and a series of US tour dates.The band took to Instagram earlier today (March 9) to post a video, which you can view below, featuring old footage of the punk veterans and a snippet of the album’s title track ‘Heavy Lifting’. American Idol alum sang a rendition of Parton’s 1973 song “I Will Always Love You,” a classic that was also immortalized by in her own cover for the 1992 movie The Bodyguard.The Kelly Clarkson Show host performed the song with an acoustic guitar and piano backing, to many applauds and cheers from celebs and fans alike. Parton was particularly moved by the performance and joined Clarkson onstage with an embrace that showed how much love there is between the two country icons. The 9 to 5 singer hosted the show alongside country singers Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett.

Morgan Wallen won Album Of The Year at last night’s Academy of Country Music Awards (March 7) a year after he was suspended by his record label for using a racial slur.Wallen sparked controversy back in February 2021 after footage of him yelling a racial slur outside his home in Nashville surfaced. The 2022 American Country Music Awards (ACMs) are here.  The highly anticipated 57th annual award show is co-hosted by the previously announced ACM male and female artists of the year nominees, Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, respectively, alongside the country music queen, Dolly Parton, at Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas on Monday.  Country music fans are set to be wooed with performances by some of the genre’s brightest stars, including Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and more.  Parton, who opened the evening by dedicating the entire show to Ukraine, will perform a duet with Kelsea Ballerini.
