Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster has called time on his career at the age of 39.
Foster spent five years at Old Trafford from 2005 to 2010 and spent a large portion of his career in the Premier League with the likes of Watford, Birmingham and West Bromwich. He also won eight senior England caps.
Upon announcing his decision to hang up his gloves, Foster has also revealed he rebuffed an approach from Newcastle last month.
He had been a free agent since leaving Watford following their relegation at the end of last term. Foster, who made more than 500 appearances in his career, wore a classic Manchester United shirt for his retirement announcement.

Foster said on his YouTube channel: "The time has come to hang up the gloves.
"Newcastle was really interesting to me. I asked for a really good wage and hoped they would say no.
"It was nice to feel wanted but I didn't want the upheaval of living away from my family. I was so happy to walk away. I didn't want to do it. I had this deep feeling, I didn't want to move away from home. I didn't want to be in an apartment away from my family at the age of 39. You have to go with your gut feeling.
"Especially at the age I am and everything I've got going on. The lads would have been brilliant and I would have buzzed off the stadium, the fans, all that kind of stuff. The overriding sinking feeling was I don't want to do this. That gut feeling, you know when people say you have to go with your gut feeling and I had this feeling deep down, I just don't want to do it."
