Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe believes 'for sure' that Manchester United will finish above Arsenal in the Premier League this season.
Defoe, who is back working for Spurs as a coach, was keen to praise Erik ten Hag's side for their impressive performances in recent weeks and backed them to continue improving under his stewardship.
While it is Arsenal who are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table, Defoe believes that United will still finish above them at the end of the campaign.

The Gunners, who won their opening five top-flight matches, were looking to record their sixth win of the season against United earlier this month. However, the Reds inflicted a first defeat on the north London club after securing a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford.
After losing their opening two games of the new season, Ten Hag's men have gone on to win their last four matches in the Premier League.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, former Spurs man Defoe insisted that United will 'for sure' finish above Mikel Arteta's side at the end of the campaign.
"I am going to say yes, aren’t I?" said Defoe. "But, in terms of their (win over Arsenal), how they are playing and how they look like they are going to play now, then I will say yes, for sure, Manchester United will finish above Arsenal."
Ten Hag's side were scheduled to face off against Leeds United at the weekend, but the game has been called off due to a shortage of police officers ahead of the Queen's funeral on Monday, September 19. The visit of Leeds to Old Trafford is considered a 'category A' fixture, which would require extra policing than other matches.
