A huge 'Tree of Trees' sculpture has been erected outside Buckingham Palace to mark the Queen’s historic Platinum Jubilee.The celebratory feature, made up of 350 British trees in aluminium pots, will be lit up on the first full day of celebrations on Thursday, 2 June. British designer Thomas Heatherwick said it was ”an honour” to make the 70ft sculpture, which reflects the planting of more than a million Jubilee trees as part of the Queen's Green Canopy (QGC) initiative.
