First Look At Jon Hamm In ‘Confess, Fletch’

In today’s episode of The Discourse, host Mike DeAngelo puts on his “investigative reporter of some repute” hat and talks about Miramax’s latest release, “Confess, Fletch,” with the director Greg Mottola (“Superbad,” “Adventureland”) and star Jon Hamm (“Mad Men,” “Top Gun: Maverick”). In the film, Fletch (Hamm) finds himself as the prime suspect in a murder investigation, requiring him to revive his own investigative skills in order to track down the real murderer and his new girlfriend’s art collection.

Ethan Shanfeld As “Top Gun: Maverick” continues to dominate the box office more than three months after its release, Jon Hamm, who stars in the movie as Vice Admiral Beau “Cyclone” Simpson, is still celebrating its success. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hamm noted that the Tom Cruise-led sequel is the only film to top the box office on both Memorial Day (when it premiered) and Labor Day. “That’s unprecedented in many ways,” Hamm said. “It’s one of the only top five [films] that doesn’t have somebody in a cape or on a spaceship. It’s a story about real people, it’s got a lot of emotional resonance, people are really responding to it.”

Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim) is back on a motorcycle in a first-look photo of Shantaram, a new Apple drama series set to premiere October 14.

“Sons of Anarchy” star Charlie Hunnam is apparently running from the law in his latest project, “Shantaram.”In the first look photo for the Apple TV+ series, which the streamer released on Monday, Hunnam sits atop a motorcycle in what appears to be a run down encampment. The series, based on the novel by Gregory David Roberts, stars Hunnam as a character named Lin Ford, who is “looking to get lost in vibrant and chaotic 1980s Bombay,” per a logline.“Alone in an unfamiliar city, Lin struggles to avoid the trouble he’s running from in this new place.

It was recently announced that Jon Hamm would be joining Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show” for its upcoming third season, playing a “corporate titan” eyeing the UBA network, home to the titular daytime TV show hosted by Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson (played by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, respectively).
