Amrabat has been linked with the Reds previously and his brother even came out earlier this year claiming Ten Hag had shown interest in January but Fiorentina were not willing to accept a loan with the option to buy deal.
Barone was asked again by Sky Sports Italia whether Amrabat would be on the move soon but the 57-year-old quickly rubbished claims a transfer was imminent. "He [Amrabat] is also very attached to the team and to me too, we speak in English and we talk almost every day," Barone explained.
"At the moment nothing official has arrived, I told him to come here concentrated because he is a Fiorentina player. He must have his head here and be ready for the start of the league, then if something comes we’ll evaluate it. We have an already very strong midfield department."
