The show draws on other Poe works as well.

LOS ANGELES -- James Corden will be bowing out of his late-night CBS TV show next year.Corden told of his decision during the taping of Thursday's “The Late Late Show,” which he began hosting in 2015.In a statement, CBS President and CEO George Cheeks lauded Corden for taking "huge creative and comedic swings," including the “Carpool Karaoke” videos in which Corden and pop stars including Adele and Paul McCartney performed sing-alongs on the road.Corden's contract was to expire this August, but the London-born actor and writer extended the agreement for another season. He will leave the 12:30 p.m.

Just two days after former “Ray Donovan” producer David Hollander was fired as showrunner on Showtime’s “American Gigolo” series, he is also off CBS’ “How We Roll,” should it come back for a second season, a source familiar with the situation told TheWrap on Monday.Hollander executive produced the Pete Holmes-starring, bowling-centered midseason comedy, which recently wrapped production on its first season.An investigation into unspecified misconduct on Hollander’s part led Paramount Television Studios, which produces “American Gigolo,” to terminate his overall deal.

Michelle Obama will not be renewing their lucrative podcast partnership with Spotify after clashing with the streaming giant over exclusivity and how much they were expected to appear in episodes.  The former first couple are said to be looking instead for a new deal at Amazon with its Audible service, or at iHeartMedia, according to Bloomberg which first revealed that the arrangement was not being renewed.  The Obama's signed their deal with Spotify in 2019 for an undisclosed sum but it is likely to be in the realm of $30million, the amount scored by Harry and Meghan in 2019 for a multi-year deal.
