Prince William's falling out with his brother, Prince Harry, has left a hole in theRoyal Family, and many are wondering if there will ever be a reconciliation.Royal expert Katie Nicholl recently sat down with ET's Rachel Smith and opened up about William's feelings toward Harry and how the newly crowned King Charles III might try to mend their fences, which she wrote about in her new book, «Everyone wants to see a repair in the rift because it doesn't do anyone any good to have this rift in the heart of the House of Windsor,» Nicholl shared. I spoke to aides, past and present — including one senior aid who worked with the brothers for a good 10 years, who knows them both and still speaks to them both. And he was surprisingly confident that there could be a rapprochement."«But that will be some time down the line,» Nicholl added.

King Charles is hopeful that with time, he can make peace with his youngest son and daughter-in-law. Palace sources recently told The Telegraph that the monarch saw "tremendous flickers of hope" in his recent interactions with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex amid Queen Elizabeth’s death. "I don’t think anyone would deny that publicly Prince Harry and Meghan Markle behaved themselves during the loss of Queen Elizabeth II," Kinsey Schofield, royal expert and host of the "To Di For" podcast, told Fox News Digital.
In a deliberate and pointed move, the royal family has seemingly ostracized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – demoting them to the bottom of the official royal website alongside the disgraced Prince Andrew. "The Royal Family" tab on the formal royal website gives visitors the option to learn more about each member of the extended family. With the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, the page was updated to reflect the reign of the new monarch King Charles III.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have found themselves near the bottom of the list of the Royal Family. The pair, who wed in 2018, have recently returned to the UK and prolonged their stay in the wake of Her Majesty the Queen’s death. There were hopes of reconciliation between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the royals during their stay, but a thinly veiled swipe appears to have since been made via the Royal Family’s official website. While the pair haven’t been working royals for some time now, they had remained reasonably high up on the rankings on the website, sitting in the middle below the likes of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Former staffers who worked on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s team before they stepped down as senior royals in 2020 called themselves the "Sussex Survivors Club" because of the difficulties in dealing with them, according to an excerpt from a new book. The duchess was also called a "narcissistic sociopath" by her team behind her back, Sunday Times royal reporter Valentine Low writes in her book "In Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown" to be released next month, citing sources. In one specific instance, Low writes that Kensington Palace was in a "panic" after Meghan abruptly left a planned 15-minute meeting in at a marketplace in Fiji in 2018 for a project to help women that was run by the group UN Women. The palace initially said Meghan left after only eight minutes for security reasons, then claimed it was because of "crowd management issues," but it later emerged Meghan didn’t want to be associated with UN Women branding, according to Low. The duchess was seen moments later in a car crying. Low writes that the palace had to assure Scotland Yard that Meghan had proper protection while on the trip through the South Pacific after reports came out about her being rushed from the marketplace. The author noted it wasn’t clear why Meghan wouldn’t want to be associated with UN Women and her lawyers have denied that claim. "This is completely false,"
Anyone waking up in Britain and taking a newspaper back to bed this weekend could be forgiven for thinking the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are under the covers with them.
