The family of the woman at the centre of a murder investigation in Salford - attacked in front of her horrified children - say she was 'cruelly' taken from them 'due to domestic violence'. An investigation into the death of Perseverance Ncube, 35, in Little Hulton is ongoing.
She was stabbed during an attack in the early hours of Friday (November 10). The assault is said to have been witnessed by her two young children. A 45-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder following a manhunt.
Greater Manchester Police has made a domestic homicide review referral in relation to the case, the Manchester Evening News has learned. The arrested man is believed to be an ex-partner, but the precise nature of his relationship with Ms Ncube is still being established, the force added.

Ms Ncube - known as 'Percy' to friends, family and neighbours - died after being stabbed. Her children are believed to have rushed to her as she lay dying in the street.
The tragedy unfolded on Dukesgate Grove at around 2.40am. Witnesses reported seeing police arrive just before 3am.
The M.E.N. understands the attack began inside Ms Ncube's home, before it continued outside, where she was fatally wounded. Police said Ms Ncube was 'found by her two young children with a single stab injury to the chest', before she was taken to hospital. She then sadly died.
Ms Ncube's family have now released a heartbreaking tribute via the force. It reads: "It is with immense pain that we say goodbye to Perseverance Ncube, also known as Percy to her loved ones.
