Travel blog by Travels of Adam (Hipster Blog) – Travels of Adam (Hipster Blog) - Travel & Lifestyle Hipster Blog Happy Pride! To get things started, I wanted to share my top 5 tips for exploring Manhattan’s gay scene. I tend to stick to the Brooklyn borough because it’s where I work and mostly where I party, but at the beginning of the year, I did make a conscious decision to explore more of Manhattan. I already work in Manhattan and spend plenty of weekdays there during the week, and admittedly, it’s quite easy and quick to travel between where I live in Brooklyn and the gay scene in Manhattan.
I’ve gotten stuck in Brooklyn’s gay bars, but I actually do love Manhattan. My personal favorite gay area in Manhattan is the West Village, home to two of my favorite gay bars: Pieces and Julius. But I’ve been known to be seen in other more “gay” areas like Chelsea (ahem, The Eagle), and Hells Kitchen, of course. (Of course.) So, here it is. Welcome to my colorful guide to Manhattan, the beating heart of LGBTQ+ culture in New York City.

Ryan Murphy is responding allegations.
Joe Otterson TV Reporter As WGA pickets continue to mobilize at the remaining TV shows in both New York and Los Angeles, at least one Ryan Murphy-produced show was the focus of striking writers’ efforts on Wednesday: “American Horror Story: Delicate.” The show is currently shooting on 52nd street in Manhattan, according to several WGA East member Twitter feeds — including one person who posted video of star Kim Kardashian entering the production. “It doesn’t appear that @KimKardashian is a friend of the labor movement. She just now crossed our picket line to work on Ryan Murphy’s @AHSFX Hamptons, shooting here on 52nd in NYC,” wrote “The Blacklist” exec producer and WGA strike captain T Cooper on his Twitter account.
Lisa Kennedy Fashionista Jenna Jones (Gabrielle Union) took quite the tumble from her position in New York’s world of style. In “The Perfect Find” — Netflix’s visually vibrant, cinema-loving, if not quite perfect, rom-com — her professional and romantic plummet is documented in opening credits that cleverly use an animated collage to relate her story. So, when we meet Jenna in person ,she’s without a job, and her man (D.B. Woodside) of 10 years has moved on … or so it seems. The 40-year-old is sporting baggy sweats, and not because she’s headed to the gym. She’s been living in her parents’ home licking her wounds, for a year, when her mother calls her out on it. The scene between mother (Janet Hubert) and grown-ass daughter is amusing and promising. As are the musical and visual choices director Numa Perrier makes that evoke Old Hollywood in a film with characters decidedly not Old Hollywood.

the cloud of Canadian wildfire smoke while my entire head was wrapped in a layer of black tulle — with my shoulders and elbows pinned to my sides by a massively exaggerated upper-body collar and my hands sheathed in nylon stockings — was no walk in the park. And as I strutted through the city streets in the getup, repeatedly overhearing “What the f- – k?,” and “Oh my god!,” from wide-eyed passersby, I thought to myself: “It’s freakin’ hard being Kanye West’s wife.”The “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” rapper’s new bride, Bianca Censori, 28, inspired the look when she sported a similarly eye-popping ensemble to a church service in Los Angeles Sunday alongside Kanye, 46.Censori — a Melbourne native who works as the “Head of Architecture” at her hubby’s sportswear line YEEZY, according to her LinkedIn — caused an online uproar in the bizarre, all-black bodycon outfit, inspired by COMME des GARÇONS.Her little number featured a huge cushioned sphere that encircled her chest and shoulders, covering two-thirds of her face and a sheer body glove that encased her entire frame, including her arms and platinum blond pixie cut. In reaction to the outré outfit, wisecrackers on Twitter likened the latest Mrs. West to an “uncircumcised penis” and a “condom.”And folks in Midtown Manhattan felt the same about my togs.“Yes, you look like a condom,” a woman in Bryant Park said as we exchanged laughs over the frock.
