Temperatures are continuing to soar across the country and many of us are trying to find the best ways to cope and cool down.
Key advice for the hot conditions is to ensure that you stay hydrated. This helps to avoid heat exhaustion and severe dehydration while you're sweating.
However, while water is usually our go-to in high temperatures, there is another drink that could also be a major help. For people who struggle to sleep in the heat, a drink of peppermint tea before bed could help your body to cool down before you hit the hay - that's because it 'stimulates the body's cooling receptors', an expert has revealed.

While initially, this may seem strange to some, hot drinks can sometimes be more effective at bringing down your temperature when compared to cold ones, the Mirror reports.
Simone Thomas, a nutritionist and wellness coach, said: "Easy to grow in the garden or in pots, and cheap to pick up in the supermarket, peppermint is the perfect pick me and up and offers a natural way to cool down as the herb's menthol stimulates your body's cooling receptors."
If a hot drink before bed isn't your cup of tea, she said it can also be drunk cold. Simone added she "prefers it cool when it's warm outside as it's so refreshing".
Simone continued: "I also love to make peppermint tea and then freeze it into ice cubes to use later in the day as a further way to keep cool and remain hydrated. You can also add mint and water to a jug of water and call on this natural cocktail all day long when you are feeling the heat and don't want to hit fizzy drinks".
