When Bella Hadid recently revealed that she had undergone a surgical nose job at just 14 years of age – which would require a strong case and parental consent in the UK – I can’t say I was too surprised. She has that “perfect” ski slope nose that I’ve wanted for years but I’m also aware is usually only achievable – unless you’re one of a lucky few – with some surgical help.
Since Bella shared the news in a Vogue interview, the Google search term “nose job” has shot up 256% worldwide. That’s a whole lot of people interested in getting a similar look for themselves. Like I say, I’ve wanted my nose refined, especially the tip of it, for years, but after various consultations and back and forth internal conversations, I’ve never actually gone through with booking one in for a few reasons.
First of all, I’ve been quoted £8k for it and, honestly, if I’m spending that on something then it’s going towards a mortgage. I’m also hesitant because the downtime and bruising scares me.
Getting to the point here, I figured I’d try something a little less invasive to see if it could give me increased nose satisfaction without resorting to the extreme option of surgery. I opted for a non-surgical nose job – a treatment that’s booming in popularity.
I had plenty of questions, as I’m sure you do if you’re also considering filler-based nose sculpting, so I headed in to see Dr Ioannis Liakas, medical director at London Harley Street’s Vie Aesthetics, to give the treatment a go, and to get nosy with some of the most-asked questions… What can a non-surgical nose job do? “It’s perfect for those who want to correct lumps, bumps and nose elevation. It’s also commonly used by people who want to see how they might look with a permanent rhinoplasty,”
